Welcome to LA

Well we finally made it here. In general it went quick and without incident...in general. It seems that Caroline didn't have the directions written down, we had the address though. After our second try at buying a LA map (we got an Atlas in Phoenix but were unable to get an LA city map) we find out there are 3 streets which match the one we were looking for. :( They end up not being anywhere near the right ones--very sketchy places. Tell me why the same street if found with different postfixes?

Eventually while driving down the street Caroline catches a wireless network--we are in business. She brings up her email, find the message about the hotel, and bingo we have found where the hotel is. By the way, the particular instance of our street never did occur in the index. :(

Well, I'm off to bed now. I'll fill you in on the trip as it progresses.

I'm glad you're dodging all of life's little bulletts. Let's keep it at LIFE bulletts, shall we?! Have a good time at the ocean if you get the chance to visit. I'll be at the Canal Days Festival in 'Port'. Yay...I chose to work on Monday (so broke), so I'd better enjoy what weekend I have. You too, eh?

Hi Ryan
Hope you have a good time awayfrom the heat of Arizona.

We've just got home from the "mini-reunion" at John's family cottage. It was good to see them at something other than a funeral !!
We've also been taking in the festivities of Dungannon's 150th birthday. Lots of beer drinking --a leisure activity that they are renowned for !! We just went for the parade !!

If it such a tradition they are renowned for, and you were celebrating their 150th birthday, should you not have taken part in it? ;)

Yes it was great to get away from the heat and dry air.
