WoW...wow!

So I have had the game for about a day now, and I have already have my character upto level 9 (almost 10). So I'd day it is quite addictive. Blizzard gets a couple thumbs up on this one. I'm going to take a short break to watch City of Ghosts with mom & dad. Then I'll be right back at it. :)

This should have been me

4 of PEER's finest off to do some mindless work. From the left: Carolyn, a German PEER person, Mas, and George. Posted by Hello

So this is the group of people that I was suppposed to be off to Richmond Virginia with for 3 months. But no, I get sucked into other things (not to mention that 24/7 support thing). Hopefully they are having a good time down there, and not working too hard. Maybe it would have been better to go with them...

Google will soon own your PC

I have been trying out some new software from Google this evening. The software is for managing your digital photographs. And boy does it do a nice job! And it is even free. The software is called Picasa. It seems to do everything right that so many other pieces of software fail at. So, I recommend to everyone out there with a digital camera (and to people who get digital photos from others) to install this software and give it a try. If Google keeps bringing out software like this, soon enough all your everyday software products will be brought to you by Google (so far I don't have a problem with that).

WoW

I finally broke down today and put some money down to reserve my copy of World of Warcraft. I know it has been out for a long while already, but after trying it out at Alex's last week I just had to get it. Unfortunately, Blizzard had put sales on hold in attempt to control the number of players on their servers. According to EB they should have copies in by the end of the week. So, within a couple short days I will be the proud owner of WoW.

24 /7 is not a good idea

So today we get news that we are going to need to start providing 24/7 support at work. So we are going to have to start taking shifts with the support phone. This is a horrible idea from my point of view. I am there for 8 hours a day, I don't want to take it home with me. I don't care that I'd get paid for all the time I hold the phone, and then an hourly wage while servicing the call. But really, I'd rather have my personal time when I leave work. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any way for any of us on my team to get out of it. Total bullshit!
